Paul Haggis to Alienate Remaining Starz Viewers

Who even knew Starz had original series but considering the great success of Crash when it won the Oscar because its author was in Scientology and the movie didn’t involve gay cowboys having sex, Paul Haggis decided the natural thing to do was turn it into a TV series for Starz. Well either that or grab a flamethrower and begin setting random people on fire while laughing manically, but since the latter is illegal, he had to settle for the former.

None of the major characters from the movie, including the ones played by Matt Dillon, Brendan Fraser and Sandra Bullock, are likely to make it to the series, Lionsgate exec Kevin Beggs said.

“We’ll use the style of storytelling from the movie,” he said, “but there’ll be new characters and new stories to get into the subjects of race and class, and the bigotry that’s simmering under the skin of a city like Los Angeles.”

So basically we’re talking about an anthology series that’s all about bigotry in LA. Sweet, can you see anyone not watching to watch this? Oh wait, can you see anyone outside of Hollywood wanting to watch this.
