Microsoft Claims IE More Secure than Firefox

Also Microsoft then put the Brooklyn Bridge up for sale through XBox Live for only 1,000,000,000 Microsoft Dollars. Seriously, Microsoft’s claims don’t pass the smell test even on common sense alone. Despite Firefox’s growth Microsoft’s Internet Explorer remains the dominant browser. The idea that more attacks are targeted at the relatively small Firefox demographic than at Internet Explorer is laughable. The “Internet Explorer and Firefox Vulnerability Analysis” is yet another attempt by Microsoft to draw us into Steve Ballmer’s fantasy world where unicorns run Windows CE, ActiveX is universally popular among dwarves and elves and Microsoft Windows is actually a secure computing let alone browsing platform. But most people aren’t buying it. Put simply Firefox gives you more control than Microsoft’s IE does and security comes from more control not less. Microsoft tried more control with Vista and that has only backfired. Sorry, but we’re not buying it.
